Are We There Yet?

Wow...this has been a tough weekend...BB spent it all working in his shop, or in the basement...
I spent the better part of it sitting on my rear end.

I know, I know...how many of you would love to sit around and do nothing, and have your husband in support of you doing nothing? Well, I'll tell you what...I'm tired of sitting around doing nothing, or next to nothing...this is my first foray into the world of non-procrastination...and it's tough! There really isn't anything more than general tidying for me to do...I can't sit on the floor with the kids for more than about 10 minutes, I can't sit in the chair or on the couch...and so I find myself sort of wandering around looking for things to do.

All the laundry is washed, folded and put away...the beds have clean sheets, the furniture is dusted, the floors are swept/vacuumed/mopped, the bathrooms are clean...the animals are groomed, there are casseroles in my freezer, and bread is cooling. I seriously am out of things to do and still have to get through all of the night, all day tomorrow and all night tomorrow night...

You'd like to think I could just curl up on the couch and sleep and get rest and drink lots of water or something...but seriously? I'm antsy to get out in my garden and do things like make sure all the plant matter from last year is cleaned out, clean up the last remnants of Rocco from our yard, and begin planning my vegetable gardens...the snow is almost melted from our yard, the sun is shining, the sky is blue...the kids played outside, we had fun today as they ran around and went down their slide...we went to the bank, Target, PetSmart, and got to have a lunch treat...and then they went for naps, and are still sleeping...

I already miss them, and they're only upstairs in bed!

I'm restless, I'm irritated at being confined to such little action...I'm truly just ready to be done...

I feel much like Lisa & Bart in the episode where the entire way to DuffWorld, they repeat over and over and over again "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"

And no one is pulling a Homer saying they'll pull the car over and show me what it feels like to be there, or some other equally Homeresque quote...

I almost hope that my water breaks between now and oh, say...7 tonight...that way, the baby will born on no one else's birthday, or on St. Patricks' day...or anything like that...

I'm just ready...
