The Best Laid Plans

Did I already use this title? Well...too bad...I'm recycling...or something like that.

I had this fabulous post all planned for the 4th, with graphics, and music and the works. Then, life happened.

We have decided to make an offer on a trailer for us to use as a family for camping and such. I'm excited.

However...as such, I now have to research insurance, loans, storage facilities, covers, brake controllers...and then, go through all our stuff, find out what we want to keep, what we want to sell at the Garage Sale...

I also, somewhere in all the running around, need to do things like laundry, wash floors, scrub bathrooms, make menus...

I'm bouncing around on the scale because we've been eating out so frequently...that stinks. A lot.

SO...the fabulous post will have to wait until next year...or perhaps I'll put it up on my birthday...after all, if it weren't for me being born, you wouldn't be sitting here wasting time reading my blog!

OK...enough sarcasm and talk that I'll blame on lack of sleep...

I had to pick up a pregnancy test today...for some reason, my husband's one responsibility in "family planning" is to make sure we have adequate supplies of protection on hand...per se. (insert giggle here) 2 weeks ago, he calmly stated "guess I'll stop by the store on the way home"...and never did. But did that stop him? Did it matter that he is so adamantly opposed to another child? Did it make a difference to him that according to my calendar and temperature, and other such signs that he was playing with fire? OH NO! It somehow became my fault and he said, in some such language "phooey" about protection...in fact, I think he uttered the phrase "I guess we'll cross that bridge if we have to" in regards to consequences for our actions...

Let it be known, here in the blogdom of me, that I in no way coerced him into those sorts of activities. There was no deliberate seduction of my husband in an attempt to procreate one more time. There was no wining and dining, romancing, slinky outfits, flirty behavior...I was my usual self. I said "no, not a good time", several times, several ways, with multiple levels of firmness...all to no avail.

While I will be ecstatic if we end up with a trio of kidlets, it will NOT be because I didn't try to warn him...

SIGH...

That being said, I'm going to stop wasting time, and fold clean clothes, and call this guy that owns the trailer we want...

Wish us luck!
