Mid-Day Comments on Mid-Week Issues

Well...now that I'm officially half-way through the first week of the New Year, I thought I'd just give a quick little comment...or dozen...or whatever.

#1 - My appointment with my client this morning went wonderfully! She is a friend already, a mom from my Church, and she wants to know that she's helping local businesses, and home-based business owners in this time of economic crunch. She knew I was a Mary Kay Consultant, and thought of me over the other 3 from the Moms' Group. It was very flattering to know that, and to know that she was placing her confidence in me. I think we had a good visit, and she was armed with questions for me. It was good. I now have to clean up my product from my dining room table (it was too cold in the basement to use my office), but I sold some product, and know that she has other items she'll need in the future. Happy morning!

#2 - I am addressing invitations to a show for another home-based business owner, which is to be held in just a few weeks. I'm excited as my guest list is currently 25. I should have about 10 ladies here to experience the party. I'm stoked! I love this company and this product...you can ask me via email if you want more information...I'm not selling stuff on here. Happy that I can support a friend's business this way!

#3 - I am picking up invitations for Tiny Princess' 1st birthday party, to be held on her actual birthday, as it falls on a weekend day. We are having a few close friends, my parents and my brother up for a luncheon (deli meat, veggies, fruit, rolls, chips, dip, and, of course, cake) and the party. It is more for BB and I than for her, but it will be fun nonetheless. Can't wait! Sad that my baby girl is already almost a year old...as in, we're counting by days left til the big day.

#4 - I am going to take the truck for the oil change after picking up lunch for Captain Chaos, Tiny Princess and myself. Happy that we get to be out and about, and happy that we get a treat of lunch from some fast food place. It's bad for me, bad for my health goals, but I've decided that in order to avoid a binge on really bad stuff like the fun-sized Milky Way bars for BB's lunches, I should probably just buy myself a cheeseburger and fries (or maybe a sandwich from Arby's...).

#5 - I've got a roast in my crock-pot, complete with fresh carrots, potatoes, and we're having yummy chocolate chip cookie pie for dessert.

#6 - I'm making a double batch of Gold Nugget Bars (see Wha 'Cha Got Cookin' for details) for tomorrow. Mmmmmmm....yummy!

#7 - All my housework is DONE for today...woo hoo! That means, when the kids go down for afternoon naps, I get to go work in my office and finish organizing my product! I can then place an order for new product! Happy that I'm working my business and have money in my business account to buy what I need, plus some of what I want.
