BB went to a Woodworkers' Show on Saturday, and was gone from 9 til 8, and then again from 9 - 5 on Sunday. I was at home all week last week with the kids trying to get things done around here so I wouldn't have to have a crazy 3 days this week before we leave.
Saturday night he complained that his stomach was not feeling well. Took some Pepto, went to bed, and was miraculously healed enough to be gone all day Sunday.
Sunday night he again complained that he wasn't feeling well, I told him to drink some 7Up, take something and go to bed early.
He was then up all night long, in the bathroom. He toughed it out, and went to work most of Monday, but came home around 3 yesterday. He then spent the rest of the afternoon, evening, and night alternating between his chair, the bathroom and the bed.
I do not deny that he is sick. Trust me...I know he is truly suffering from something.
But, and here is my issue...
I have spent the last 9 days :
- Scrubbing toilets, showers, tubs, sinks, and floors
- Vacuuming
- Mopping
- Dusting
- Washing, drying, folding and putting away clothes, towels, and sheets
- Changing blow-out diaper after blow-out diaper on Tiny Princess
- Coaxing Tiny Princess to eat cereal, applesauce, and bananas to keep something GOOD going into her system
- Keeping Captain Chaos' hands washed (mine are chapped and cracking)
- Cleaning out the refrigerator, freezer, office, playroom, living, dining, family rooms, and all closets, cubbies, and nooks and crannies to insure that all laundry was done, and items put away
- Putting up some late season squash and zucchini for the winter
- Changing cat litter and scrubbing cat pans
- Sweeping, vacuuming and tidying every room in the house
- Sorting and packing clothes, books, toiletries and magazines
BB has spent the ENTIRE last 24 hours in his chair, complaining about how lousy he feels, etc etc etc, and you know what?
When I finish this post (which will NOT be my last before we leave), I will log off, go back upstairs, continue to figure out how to pack 20 toddler and infant outfits, along with 24 diapers, toiletries and surprise toys for the children into one "pilot case", and 12 adult outfits, including heavy sweaters and toiletries into a snazzy backpack that BB and I use. After I am done with that, if the children are both still asleep, I will bring in our carry-on, so that BB can pack his 18 magazines for the plane, and I will pack the diaper bag.
That way, tomorrow, when Cleaning Lady comes (she graciously rescheduled as BB is sick), I am done, D-O-N-E with the packing, and all I have to do is focus on keeping the children as clean as can be, so I don't have laundry to do again before we go...
I am a bit steamed, and shall now channel that energy into packing for 16 days.
I will close with this : GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
