Snatching a Moment...

OK...here's my list of things I've done thus far (not bad since I didn't get started until 10:30)

  1. One load of laundry folded and put away
  2. One load of laundry in dryer
  3. One load of laundry in washer
  4. Office is cleaned out (all things that don't belong in there are put away...where they belong)
  5. All old paperwork is filed
I'm sitting and having a glass of water and a banana. No more coffee for me...I've had the worst headache today, made worse by the fact that I have the following things left to do before I go to bed Tuesday night.

  1. Take kids to Clinic for their Flu Shot Boosters (who knew a 10 month-old needs a booster?)
  2. Wash, dry, fold and put away all remaining dirty clothes
  3. Strip beds
  4. Wash, dry, fold and put away all bedding that gets washed
  5. Remake beds with fresh sheets
  6. Wash, dry, fold, and put away all towels in the house
  7. Iron BB's work shirts (yes...before we leave, so they'll be done when we get home)
  8. Clean up my closet floor to make sure I'm not missing any dirty laundry etc
  9. Pack
  10. Empty refrigerator of all leftovers
  11. Empty all trash cans and recycling bins
  12. Stop our newspaper, mail, and milk delivery for the duration of our vacation
  13. Provide a "to do" list for our housesitters
  14. Go to the bank and get cash for travel
  15. Go to the grocery and get "easy" snacks for the plane
  16. Pack a breakfast/lunch for on the way to airport so we don't have to eat expensive airport food. (Who knew that the $1 menu could actually be the $2.50 menu when you buy from McDonald's at the airport?)
  17. Clean up the area in which the dog goes to the bathroom, so he'll actually go there while we are away.
  18. Change cat litter
Oh, and somewhere in there, I'm supposed to feed myself, my husband, my kids, and my pets, as well as keep them clean, dressed and rested.

Since we are not putting Tiny Princess in her own seat this trip that means that at least BB can hold her on his lap while I take care of Captain Chaos on take-off and landing.

PLEASE PRAY!!!!!!! that Captain Chaos' congestion will clear up before tomorrow night, so he'll get a good night sleep at home before we leave on Thursday morning.
Pray that I am not coming down with a sinus infection.
Pray that Tiny Princess does not have something other than teething going on with her tummy.
Pray that BB will be relaxed and stress-free on Thursday as we check-in and get to our gate, and that he'll not get sick again.

Seriously...I've taken enough Vitamin C and Zinc lozenges to kill a cold in a horse...and I'm still feeling pretty congested.

I'm trying hard not to hit the "hard" stuff so that I don't end up being groggy and sleepy all day.

Don't laugh, but if you say the words "May cause drowsiness" I'll get sleepy...

All right, my moment has now turned into 10...and I still have much to do.
