And Her Children Will Rise Up, and Call Her...

...by screaming at the top of their lungs at 6:30 in the morning as they argue over a new toy from the Golden Arches.

Ahhh...this is the reason I wanted children in the first place...to be loved, to love, to enjoy training someone up and being rewarded as they earn a scholarship to Johns Hopkins, graduate with top honors and become a world-renowned physician, and then making sure their parents live in the style to which we'd easily become accustomed...

Seriously - who wired kids to bound out of bed at the first light of dawn? Who told them they could scream and yell before most sane people are out of bed?

Its going to be a great day - I smell a trip to the playground before the heat goes crazy...

A friend of mine once taught a devotional on that Psalm. She said, "I don't know about you, but my children rise up & scream for juice."

I keep reminding myself just how depressingly quiet it was B.C. (before children) and that some day it will be that quiet again.
