Daisypath Anniversary tickers

February 03, 2009

Well...we are one step closer to being ready to finish the laundry room...I now have a few boxes stacked in my living room full of cleaning towels, light bulbs, and random other junk that somehow I allowed to accumulate in my limited storage in said room...OY!

I have decided upon finding the random junk that I will be more diligent and forceful about things having a home, and living there when not in use. As for things that come in as the result of attending some trade show or another...once they are done being perused, we WILL either recycle them, or pass them along to someone who will actually use them...no more keeping brochures from companies for things we will never use in our home.

After all, if you can't afford to replace your windows this year, what good does it do to keep the brochure from the company that might not even be in business when you can?

Eh...call me crazy...or maybe it was the fact that my trash and recycle bins are stuffed full (as in, the trash can lid will NOT close all the way), but I was disgusted at the sheer volume of crap that I've found! I not only cleaned out my laundry room, but tackled one of those "I'll get to it" stack/pile/boxes that has been shoved into my basement...and you know what? I only kept about 10% of the things that were in there...they were statements that should have been filed immediately, had very sensitive personal information on them, and yet, had been sitting in a box, loose, in my basement. Thank goodness no one goes down there but the kids and myself...but what if someone had broken in?

OY!

SO...you heard it here first...from here on out, NO MORE CLUTTER!!!!!! I will not allow any new clutter into my home, and will be working like crazy to get the existing clutter OUT and gone!

And now, back to my lunch, and then to get the kiddos settled for naptime, so I can work out, start dinner, and shower...woo hoo! Good times!
