What A Difference a Day Makes

This time last night I was freaking out about how we were going to come up with $1100 to fix the truck, and praying that dropping it off at our regular mechanic, not the dealer, would be a blessing.

This time last night, I was wondering how we were going to pay for our new washer and dryer, pay the bills, buy the groceries, and pay for a first birthday party, to which people were already invited, and committed to coming.

I didn't sleep so well last night, but each time I woke up, I tried really hard to pray and turn the whole mess over to God, knowing in my heart that He would meet our needs. By the way, that is so not easy to remember at 2 in the morning...just in case you were wondering.

I woke this morning, not refreshed from sleep, but at peace in my heart that God would indeed see us through this time, meet our needs, and bless us.

I spent the day wandering from my laptop to the laundry room, trying to hurriedly do all my washing and drying, changing of sheets, washing diapers etc, as we had a couple of emails of interest on the washing machine. These people are seriously talking about coming down to my house tonight to pay for and pick up the washing machine. Being as its still 2 weeks from Monday until my new ones arrive, I'd like to not have to avail myself to the goodwill of my neighbors and parents to use their machines...

As of right now, we have not sold the washer, but are waiting for answers from the 4 people that are interested.

As of right now, we are going to pick up our truck tomorrow.

As of right now, we are NOT having to pay anywhere close to $1100 for the repair. Our mechanic hooked it up to the computer that reads the trouble codes which make your check engine light come on. The code they pulled up was not the code the dealer told me they had pulled. The code the mechanic pulled up said our thermostat was not working properly. The code the dealer had given us said we had to have our manifold intake replaced...

Needless to say, I am not thinking too highly of our dealership right about now, and am not prone to give them good reviews or good recommendations...

As of right now, we had to have a thermostat replaced, and the vehicle tested to insure that was indeed the issue.

Our mechanic called in the midst of typing this, and, to quote him, we are "thumbs up for the thermostat being the only issue".

We pick up our truck tomorrow.

All I can say right now, is that GOD IS GOOD!

Now, I'm still praying that someone will want our washer, just that they won't be able to pick it up until the end of the week next week, so I'll only have to get through a week with going somewhere to wash our clothes!
