Well, I'm trying, in my new life of studying, and being a wife and mother, to not ramble aimlessly on here, although I do realize that sometimes I need to ramble aimlessly...
SO, in an effort to make more meaningful things pour out of my mouth, I will attempt to not post junk...
That being said, I'm going to go get the kiddos, who slept late after a late night last night *stay tuned for more news on that soon!*, and get them ready for the day, I will make my shopping list, and head to the grocery for our bi-monthly trip (is that right? it's bi-monthly when I go every 2 weeks...or is that bi-weekly? OY!), and perhaps, just perhaps, indulge myself with a "coffee treat", so named by Captain Chaos...plus I have to find the filler for my Valentine's Day gift for BB and the children before I buy the "big" gift for him...
Here's a question for you:
On holidays, such as Valentine's Day, Easter, St. Patrick's and the like, do you purchase things for more than just your husband/wife/significant other? I have a friend who's dad used to buy all the ladies in his families orchids for Mothers' Day...and I always thought it was the sweetest thing...but we never did that growing up. Tell me your non-Christmas or birthday traditions...

first of all, I love reading your blog..wish I had more time to write more in my own..as to the question you have put forth..when my boys were small, I would buy them a card and the "Message Hearts" candy. Being a single Mom, my sister used to send me flowers from my boys on Valentine's Day, which I thought was just the nicest thing to do. Now I am remarried and my hubby is the best when it comes to holidays. But we have 2 grandchildren from his daughter and we always send her a Mother's Day card and my youngest son and his wife are expecting in Sept, so when she is a Mom, I will send a card to her too. My Mom sends me and my sister Mothers' Day cards too, which is sweet that she acknowledges us a good Mom's just like she is...
Hello, Twin. Let's wash our kids' hands together. lol.
My dad always gets a corsage for my mom, my sisters and me for Valentines Day and Mother's Day. I think it's very sweet, like your friend's dad.
My husband is Irish and he is adamant about NOT wearing green on St Patrick's Day.
Mmmmm.... we are really quite dull and don't have any such nice traditions. Sorry... S
