Thinking Happy Thoughts

I am so grateful for the gift from MIL of housecleaning...she initially bought 3 months worth of cleanings for us after Tiny Princess was born, and just about the time that was running out, and we were faced with the dilemma of keeping or letting go of the Cleaning Lady...a gift check in the mail, made out to Cleaning Lady arrived at our house, enough to take us through until Christmas...and then, at Christmas, I received 2 checks in my card. One made out to just me for "whatever [I] want[ed]", and another, made out to Cleaning Lady again, for another 6 months worth!

God is truly good, in using my MIL without her being fully aware...and more, in taking a load of stress off of me.

Now, don't get me wrong. I am totally and completely capable of cleaning my own house, scrubbing toilets, vacuuming, dusting etc. But it is truly wonderful to know that one time each month, my entire house is clean, all at the same time, for a week! That's right...once everything is picked up and put away, and Cleaning Lady and her pal come and clean my house from top to bottom, shining and polishing, and scrubbing...the kids go down for their naps right after lunch...and I have 2 full hours of being able to sit and relax, knowing that my house is clean!

I've got dinner in the crock-pot, a load of diapers in the washer (pray that my dryer can dry them fully without pooping out on me!), the dishwasher is running, I've got clean sheets on all the beds, clean towels in the bathroom, and only 3 shirts to iron, all of which are mine!

I can sit and watch TV, play on the Wii...read a book, knit on my sweater...whatever I want to do for 2 entire hours. And even better, is knowing that from here on out, I just have to keep on top of it...so I put things away as we go, wipe as we spill...and then on Thursday, I'll wash my kitchen floor again (about the longest I can go without sticking to it with every step), and I'll do my laundry on Friday...

What a nice feeling...
