Stealing a Golden Moment

I should seriously be preparing dips and fruit and veggies for Tiny Princess' birthday party tomorrow...but instead, I'm sitting here typing like a madwoman...

I have the following exciting update! I just called the delivery center for the store from which we purchased our washer and dryer...and they are delivering and installing the machines SUNDAY! Yup! You read that right! I called, explained my plight of being home with 2 kids under 3, and my desperation for washer and dryer, and the fantastically nice gentleman took care of me!

Now, I won't be getting the snazzy pedestals that go under the machines this weekend, as they are on backorder...BUT the installer/delivery person will come up with those when they arrive, and unhook washer and dryer, move them, put in pedestals, move machines on top of pedestals and re-hook everything! How grand is that?!?!?!?!

I'd like to say it was all me, but I've been praying a lot about this for the last week and a half...and knew there was no way I could make it another week before they got here...

I am now going to sign off, and:

  • rearrange my pantry to put awaty the booty of sale items I picked up from my grocery
  • make 3 kinds of dip
  • begin washing and cutting the non-dry-outable-vegetables for a platter
  • washing and cut any fruit that won't brown (read cantaloupe)
  • wash my "entertaining dishes"
  • remove and bag the ice from my ice maker so it can refill
  • clean my kitchen
  • strip wallpaper and remove cabinets from my laundry room (because I'm a slacker and Wii'd instead of working the other day! gulp!)
  • clean my laundry room
  • put away all extraneous items that have accumulated in the last 24 hours on the main floor
  • wrap Tiny Princess' presents
  • make sure the camera is charged and that the memory card is empty and ready for all the pics and videos we'll be taking tomorrow.
After that, I'll do the ironing, and perhaps, just perhaps, somewhere in there I'll be able to eat some lunch, maybe make dinner, and even get a good night's sleep!

PS - Tiny Princess' 12-month check-up went grandly this morning, so please be praying that she'll be ok from her immunizations today! I had totally forgotten that she was getting 3 shots today! YIKES!

Horray! I am so glad you're washer will be there soon!! I went crazy when we had to be without ours for 3 days!

And there is no possible way Tiny Princess can be a year old. How do things like this happen?!
