Well, it is official...I am the mother of a toddler, and an infant. Not a newborn...not 2 newborns. I am writing this today with a very bittersweet taste in my mouth...
Yesterday, Tiny Princess sat for 20 minutes safely tucked inside her Boppy pillow without tumbling down...and she was happy about being there. Ungrateful little girl that she is, she actually laughed when the cats came over and attempted to play with her...
Add to that the fact that Captain Chaos actually asked to go potty while holding himself not once, not twice, but three times yesterday, and then proceeded to tell me clearly that he wanted to sleep in his big boy bed last night...and then had the gall to stay there all night long.
This morning, he woke up, got out of bed, opened his door, walked down the hall and came into our bathroom smiling and proud as punch about the whole episode.
Tiny Princess sat in the high chair and ate her breakfast this morning. Captain Chaos actually emptied the silverware basket from the dishwasher into the drawer, putting everything where it went (darn his matching ability!), then proceeded to set his place at the table, along with the silverware for BB and I for dinner last night and breakfast last night...
Where did my babies go?!?!!? BB laughed at me that I got a little teary-eyed when Captain Chaos stayed in his bed...
