Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland

We awoke this morning to a balmy 50 degrees, some clouds, and now, here we are, a mere 5 1/2 hours later and its positively gloomy, and there is snow falling like mad...it reminds me of the scene from "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" when Aslan finally comes back, and winter begins to end...

It is actually quite beautiful to see the blossoms on my peach and apple trees covered with the heavy wet snow...but quite disturbing at the same time...I'm worried that they might freeze, as they're calling for 8 to 16 inches of snow. On May 1st. How insane does that sound?

I know what you're saying, "its Colorado...its always snowy!" Well, that's not entirely true...

At any rate...it was just weird that I was in shorts and a tank top outside in the 80 degree heat, soaking up sunshine (burned my face) and today I'm in a sweater and jeans...bundled on the couch, watching yesterday's episode of Days of Our Lives while I eat an early lunch, and blog. The kiddos are snoozing, the dog is snoring...

We're now putting off our trip to Sprawl-Mart to get Mother's Day cards to mail out, and some stretch lace (or tights) and some grosgrain ribbon to make Tiny Princess a headband. Thanks to Farmie for sharing this awesome website . I love it, and have already scouted it out for all things Girly! YAY!!!

I found the most adorable ballerina slippers for Tiny Princess at Target yesterday, and can hardly wait for Mother's Day to arrive! That's the day our Church does their baby dedication...makes it extra special for me, as both kiddos will have been dedicated on Mother's Day...sounds funny I know, but Captain Chaos already has the "boy bond" with BB, and is already going to him for most things, and wants him to play toys and cars with him...thankfully he still comes to me for comfort when he's tired/sick/hurt. Not that I want him to be sick or hurt more often than he is, but I secretly crave him pinching his fingers in the door, or something...it's a fine line between parental concern and insanity isn't it?

Now, before you go all crazy and call Child Protective Services on me, I would never put my kiddos in harm's way deliberately and would do anything to protect them...but you know what I mean about wanting those little things that set them off to just need to be held by the Mommy.

Well, my lunch is getting cold, so I'm off to eat and find out if Dr. Jonas is going to admit that he's in love with Chelsea, and if Sami and EJ can fool the Immigration officer...
