Well, I think we're officially entering the Terrible Two phase with Captain Chaos.
His most recent discovery is the meaning and application of the word "NO". To date, he has not really used it in a terrible or spoiled sounding way, it is mostly in fun, when he wants to be silly...but I know that it is just around the corner for him to be saying "NO NO NO NO NO" when we're out somewhere...ugh.
He is exerting his independence more and more each day, which I know is what I want overall as a parent, but does it really have to be over things like putting on shoes and jackets/hats before we go outside? Or in regards to the cutting of his fingernails? Is it because I simply want him to stand/sit still for the 2 minutes it takes to put on shoes and tie them? Am I crazy for wanting him to sit still???
His little sister is not much more compliant these days...this morning at 2:30, while I was attempting to change her diaper, she attempted to flip herself off the changing table and screamed when I put my hand on her tummy to stop her...you'd think I'd cut off her hand or something the way she was hollering. I am thankful that she didn't wake up Captain Chaos or BB.
We are preparing for Mother's Day and the dedication of Tiny Princess on the 11th of May. I, being a typical mom, want the sweet girl to have a special dress that is NOT cotton candy, or baby pink, but something that flatters her, like lavender, green, turquoise, or a rich pink. We shall see what BB has to say about spending of money on a dress that she might only wear 3 times before she outgrows it. I like to put her in cute little dresses with bloomers for Church, even if she hangs out in the car seat. And, no, I have NOT put her in the nursery yet. She is only 14 weeks old tomorrow, and I am so afraid of her bringing home some nasty bug...we're blessed that she hasn't picked up one of the many that Captain Chaos has brought home since January...
Well, I'm off to vacuum my carpet BEFORE I head to the chiropractor's office today.
Wish me luck in finding a cute girly dress in anything but pink for the Tiny Princess...and maybe even some adorable little Mary Janes she can wear with said dress...hmmmmm...maybe she needs a ribbon in her hair...I could get into a lot of trouble here if I'm not careful...

You know, they make little socks that look like mary janes & bobby socks. They're so cute, but I cannot remember where I saw them....
Good luck with your dress search!
