Well, our trip was canceled today...we went to dinner last night, and when we got home, MIL called Grandma a couple times with no answer...Aunt called as well, same result. Not being too worried as it was late for Grandma, they assumed she was in bed, resting peacefully.
This morning, no answer again, on either house or cell...so MIL sent FIL the short half mile over to Grandma's place, opened the garage and found her there on the floor, where she'd fallen sometime last night...
She'd not had her cell phone in her pocket, and the cordless handsets were all in the house, uncharged, so was unable to call anyone for help.
FIL called 911, and the paramedics arrived, diagnosed the situation, and after packing her up, took her to the local ER. MIL, FIL, and Aunt followed, in a great state of distress. Paramedics stated she had obviously broken her left arm, and off they went.
MIL, FIL, and Aunt are there now, waiting for the results from the x-rays on her arm, neck, chest, and hips...
The initial result is : she stays over night at the least. Depending on what the imaging shows, she could require surgery, or just a set of her arm...
The worst thing is that it rained all day yesterday, and last night, so she was in the damp, cold garage...
Please pray for peace, and clarity as we await the doctor's findings. Pray for wisdom for the doctors...
