Countdown to Vacay!

We are officially leaving in 36 hours for our vacation, and I officially have nothing ready to go. For some reason (which I know full well) I just cannot get motivated...

Somehow, someway, in my head, I'm sitting here, playing on my computer, watching DVR's episodes of television shows that are rotting my brain, not edifying or uplifting or good or noble, or pure...and that will help me to not have to face my sister when I get to California on Sunday.

I'm just not looking forward it. At. All.

I am in no way, shape, or form ready to face her. Period. The End.

Please, please, please, please be praying for this visit. I will only make it through this by divine intervention.

That being said, I really do have a ton to do...so much that I'm going to type it all out here...just for myself, not for sympathy or any other reason, just so I can see how much I have to do, and maybe, just maybe get my head to calm down a bit, and channel some of my anxiety into productivity...

Without further ado, in no particular order:
  • wash, dry, fold, and put away all dirty laundry
  • change bedding
  • change towels
  • wash, dry, fold and put away said bedding and towels
  • clean bathrooms
  • dust
  • vacuum
  • mop floors
  • mow grass
  • pull clothing and pack it
  • pack lunches and snacks for eating during our 2-day road trip
  • gather games, books, toys, crayons, movies, and dvd player for kids
  • gather laptop, cords, camera, cords, bag for us
  • fill gas tank
  • vacuum truck, wash windows in truck
  • put trash bag in truck
  • pack toiletries
  • clean out fridge
  • hold papers and mail
  • get cash
To top it all off, we are closing on our refinance at 5pm tomorrow night, so I have to get certified funds for that, my folks want to have lunch with us, and BB wants to leave at like 3am so we can get to our first hotel around dinnertime so the kids will have lots of time to swim and play and run around before we go to bed Saturday night.

I'm a little freaked out and feeling stressed...so instead of working on that list, I'm still sitting here...sigh...

Oh sweetie, there is nothing I loathe more than unwanted confrontation. I feel your pain.

Just try to keep in mind that it's YOUR vacation. Hopefully if you do have to come face to face with your sister, the time will be minimal. Don't dwell on what might happen, just take things moment by moent and be sure to enjoy the heck out of each and every non-confrontational moment.
Good luck and HAVE FUN!

You can totally do this. You really can. Not saying it's going to be easy, but you can do it. But I'll pray for ya either way. Have a good trip!
