What's Old is New Again

I'm so excited...this Christmas, I dug out a box labeled "Kork Stuff" from my basement and opened it up to find my old Cabbage Patch dolls and all their clothing in it.

You may wonder why a doll that is older than the children of most people I know made me all giddy. Well, I'm going to tell you...

I decided to give one to Princess of Everything for Christmas this year. Yup, I'm taking an original, 1984 Cabbage Patch Kid and giving it to my little girl who isn't quite 3. I have her birth certificate, her little "secret" card, and the outfits, and the accessories, and the little carrier I got for her...and I spent the last hour or so sorting through things, washing her face, fixing her little brown ponytail, and putting her outfits into the washing machine, and am just having a great time figuring out which outfits she'll get for Christmas and which will be held aside until her birthday in 4 weeks...

I did have to perform some corrective cosmetic surgery - her dimpled elbow lost it's dimple and had to be stitched. All is well, little CPK girl is all ready to be wrapped up, or perhaps tucked under the tree from SC himself...

I'm looking for ideas on how to gift this one! Help!

Maybe a scavenge hunt with a trail of baby items leading up to the actual baby doll? I don't know, but it sounds really cool that she is getting something that was once yours. I love that and can only imagine her little face on Christmas morning.

I like the idea someone gave on FB that you give it to her after all the gifts are opened as a special "from Mommy" present.

It's very sweet, Kork!
