I HEART LAUNDRY

ok, ok...so this is so warped and twisted when I say it out loud...but I heart my new washing machine and dryer.

I have done nothing but laundry and housework for the last 48 hours (with the exception of working out, and sleeping)...I have done a total of 9 loads of laundry and I have not begrudged one second of the time it took to do it!

I did a load of diapers, and normally, I'd have had to pre-wash them in a cold cycle, then wash them in the hot cycle. Twice. Then, I'd have had to run through another cold cycle to make sure all the detergent was out, and that they'd gotten clean. After that, some of them would still have minor staining. Then, they'd take 2 hours to dry, on my hottest heat.

With the new machine, they were completely cleaned, with the water being heated IN THE WASHER, sanitized in an hour. They were dry in less than an hour. They are now more fluffy than they ever have been, and they are all snowy white, odor free, and I don't have to worry that I got all the detergent rinsed, even though I only used half the amount for that size load.

Oh, joyous day!


I realize this means I may need therapy to overcome my new addiction to washing clothes, but seriously? I had no idea that this particular machine would make my world so...so...wonderful! I fully expect singing birds and happy squirrels and other forest animals to pop out at any moment and join me in song and dance as I celebrate my new appliances!
