Christmas Eve

I am enjoying a rare moment of silence while the children are awake...

Capt Chaos is watching a TiVo'd episode of one of his shows, Tiny Princess is off her schedule and is napping as I clack away...BB is working, drove himself to the office, thus leaving me carless, and with no possible way to spend the day with my family.

I have, thus far, in the spirit of Christmas (or maybe some other spirit, but I can't put my finger on the name of it right now!) :
  • unpacked the next size of clothing for Tiny Princess
  • folded the sheets and put them away
  • put away the clean clothes from the kids' hamper
  • washed, dried, and folded the laundry from our hamper
  • made a batch of brownies
  • fed, bathed, dressed, changed, and fed the kids (breakfast and lunch)
  • swept and vacuumed my floors
  • cleaned my kitchen
  • wrapped all the remaining presents
  • washed my kitchen floor
  • brushed the dog
  • trimmed the children's and cats' nails (yes, they often go hand in paw as it were)
I am now, going to sit for a few minutes, and enjoy watching my son giggle at his show...he loves Between the Lions (and it doesn't hurt that a cousin of mine came up with the idea for it, and is listed in the credits like 8 times...he rocks that cousin of mine).

I am going to nap with the children for at least an hour this afternoon to gear myself up for an evening of dining and conversation with my family, and will hope that perhaps, just perhaps, my stupid brother will get his head out of his...clouds, and realize that I'm not an idiot...it would be a Christmas miracle, but you just never know do you?

Well, I shall endeavor to stop whining...at least my family is around to pick on me...
