The Random-ness That Is My Brain

I think that sometimes, I just need a person to come and give me a swift kick in the seat of my pants...

Today, I was up, dressed and out the door by 10. For those of you who don't have children that are in some sort of child restraint, and require extra clothing/toys/books/food for a trip across town, let me enlighten you...

This morning, I was up, and ready to go...and helped get BB out the door with lunch in hand. Right after he left, the kids both awoke, so I started their bath, got them into the tub, and after bathing and dressing them, we came down for breakfast. While Captain Chaos ate his breakfast and Tiny Princess nibbled on Cheerios, I loaded the diaper bag with the necessary items, and then cleaned up the kids (after feeding Tiny Princess "real" food) into their car seats. We hit the road, and headed to Target, where Captain Chaos made a bee-line for the Bakery to get his free "Chokit-chip bookie peeeese!!!!!" We got the groceries that were cheapest there, and I bought a new long sleeve t-shirt to wear under my short sleeved t-shirts. Don't ask...I'll explain later.

After Target, we went to our local Vitamin Cottage for some things that I can't get anywhere else, and some things that are cheaper there than anywhere else.

I have been up early every day for a week, and worked out...and amazingly the number on the scale has not moved. Of course, that could be in part because of the fact that last week, we had fast food for lunch 4 times...and then today, I took Captain Chaos to Arby's for lunch, and overindulged...a lot. As in, my stomach is still a little on the full side due to the large amount of food I ate for lunch.

We came home, ate our food, and I threw the children into their beds for naps...and then did 3 loads of laundry. OK...I folded the one from last night, put the wet wash in the dryer, and the next dirty load in the washer. I now need to empty my dishwasher, fold the dry, put the wet in the dryer, and then decide whether or not I should start another load of laundry, as well as what I should feed my family for dinner that doesn't require anything crazy as far as effort or ingredients.

I have my family room back to rights, with a new-to-me area rug, and things are neat and tidy...the bulk of the toys are in the basement, so it appears as though we actually have a living space...

I am tired, need a nap desperately, and have 2 children that just woke up from their naps, and should go rescue them from their beds, and change diapers...

Today is a day I need a kick...to get me off my duff and up to my babies...
