Leisure Time...or Something Like It

After spending the better part of my day on my feet and running up and down stairs yesterday, I decided to take the day "off".

Today, I will only do things that allow me to sit for at least 10 minutes at a time. SO, I am going to do things such as:

  • pay bills, balance checkbook
  • make menus and grocery lists
  • build train tracks and drive trains
  • knit a blanket for my new niece, arriving in Africa anytime in the next 4 weeks, to be in Colorado in December
  • knit an adorable baby hat for Tiny Princess
  • make scarves for my SIL and niece that live in CA
This afternoon, while the kids are sleeping, I'll do the ironing and do more laundry.

Dinner is ready to go in the oven...my darling husband found a new recipe and assembled said recipe last night, forgetting that I had a roast in the crock pot. He arrived home while I was out running a few last minute errands, and wanted to surprise me, not realizing that I'd left the side dishes ready to go, and all I had to do was pop some rolls in the oven, and make the salad...so, tonight we are having a yummy chicken and rice dish that I think will be delicious! You can check it out on whachagotcookin on blogspot.
