Potty Training Step 2 of 200

Yesterday, Captain Chaos insisted upon wearing his big boy undies...and while his heinie was the cutest I've seen in quite awhile (there's just something about little kid behinds), I was quite frustrated that we went through all 9 pairs in 120 minutes...if you do the math, that's like 13 minutes per pair before his little bladder felt the need to spontaneously empty...and the most frustrating part to me (I'm not such a patient person, can you tell?) is that he did not actually have a full "go potty"...it was as though he recognized that he was getting wet, and stopped going...only to go a little bit 15 minutes later...Grrrrr!

I know, I know...its a step in the right direction toward being fully potty trained...but you know what? It was more frustrating to me to have to sit him on his potty every 10 minutes, deal with Tiny Princess (who blessedly loves to roll around on the family room floor and play with her toys), along with 2 cats, a dog, and a tired husband that is working on a several hundred page document for work...

However, at 9:30 yesterday morning, we ran out of undies, and had to go back to disposable training pants (a.k.a. Pull-ups)...and while he actually did use his potty several times later that day, it was a little unnerving to know that I now need to go to Sprawl-Mart and buy at least another 9 pairs of pants for his tiny bum.

My B.B. did the same thing. I was so sure he was "ready." After a few days of the constant peeing, I put him back in pull ups/diapers & let him go another month. He'd still pee in the potty when he felt like it, but there was no pressure. One day (about a month later) he just quit wetting his pants. That was it.

Good luck!
