Well, here we are at Friday again...and amazingly, both kiddos are asleep at the same time, and I have no chores to work on...how did that happen?!?!?!? OH WAIT! I know...the housekeeper my MIL gifted us with was here this week...and since the house is all dusted, mopped, shined and the bathrooms are clean, I was able to get the laundry done ahead of schedule, including the ironing, and changed the beds...so I vacuumed this morning, and then the kids and I went out and ran errands, so there was no time for anything to get messed up...
We went to Wal-Mart to return some things, which took me 45 minutes...I have never been so mad in my life as I was today. Apparently because we have a SuperCenter, you now have to stop at the door and let the greeter not just see what you have, but scan it with his little scanner gun, and print out a special sticker with a barcode and price on it, and then you go to Customer Service and have them re scan everything, and give your money back to you. I don't shop at Wal-Mart that often as I have the option of going to Target or Kohl's, or JC Penny, or any number of places...and this morning served as a good reminder to me of that reason.
After we dealt with the poor little old man at the door, and the poor new girl at the counter, we then went and bought some exciting items like Apple Juice, batteries, and baby lotion. It was a thrilling outing, I tell you what.
We then went to our local Ace Hardware for a bag of topsoil, a bag of mushroom compost, and a new long-handled garden fork. You know, its like the little 3-pronged guy that has a 6-inch handle that you use around the base of your plants...except that it has a 4-foot handle...I don't know, BB asked for it...
After that, I drove to the other side of town to a great place called Silly Scissors, which specializes in childrens' hair cuts. For the low, low price of $15 I got Captain Chaos' hair cut...she did a good job, and it was worth it to me because he got to sit in a little car, and watch Wubby Wubby Woo-Woo, or whatever the show on Noggin is called...and he sat almost perfectly still the entire time. I was so impressed with him.
In fact, I was so impressed with the boy that I took him to McDonald's for lunch, and he ate an entire cheeseburger, all of his apples, and half of my french fries...
We came home, he played with his cars for a little while as I fed Tiny Princess, and then they both fell asleep...
HOORAY!
It is gorgeous outside, I got a lot accomplished today, and I am now going to watch NASCAR qualifying with BB...yippee...
