Rambling On

Wow! Nothing quite like having your system completely overhauled by bad food...ICK!

I'm still dealing with the aftermath of Friday night's dinner, and won't bore or disgust anyone with details on that particular issue.

We have had a good day so far. It is 87 again today, clear, brilliantly blue skies, not a cloud to be seen right now...the sun is quite literally beating down on my house. Thank heavens for central air, because I don't think I'd be able to handle 2 kids in this weather without it...especially knowing I'm still not feeling 100%...

And for those of you who are wondering, YES, IT WAS FOOD POISONING. I am NOT pregnant. My mother noticed I was not acting quite my usual self and questioned me, with a look of extreme fear in her eyes...not that she is afraid of more grandchildren, she just already thinks we were insane to have our 2 so close together, and thinks we're even more insane that we're not actively preventing a 3rd...even though BB is still not sure he wants another baby...

At any rate, I spent the morning tidying up the cyclone my husband created when he arrived home at 9pm last night...how one man can make such a mess in the kitchen to make a turkey sandwich and cut an apple up I will never understand...I have emptied all but the kitchen trash, in hopes that I can stuff whatever food wrappers cannot be recycled into the can and take it out right before bed, as tomorrow is trash day...tomorrow is also blessedly Cleaning Day...not me doing the cleaning, but rather the wonderfully awesome cleaning lady is coming to do it! Hallelujah! I don't have to scrub my toilets this week! I don't have to dust, or mop the floors, or climb on stepstools to clean ceiling fans, light fixtures, cobwebs, dust bunnies...

On a different track...we did not make it to opening weekend of Prince Caspian...which, I suppose, is no surprise, but rather disappointing. I remember waiting in line, or staying up until midnight to get tickets to the opening show of opening night of the movies I really wanted to see. As recently as X-Men 2...and the Passion...hmmmm...I suppose someday I will be telling Captain Chaos and Tiny Princess that we aren't going to see the movie the day it opens because trying to get tickets for that day is utterly futile, and they'll have to deal with it, and stop crying because We. Are. Not. Going. Today. remind me of that when it happens will you????

On yet a different track...I am utterly disgusted with the writers of Days of Our Lives. I have not watched today's episode, but am sitting, and have Friday's TiVo'd episode all queued up to watch when I'm done, but I am sick, sick, sick of them bringing in what could be totally kickin' plot lines, and then cut them short before they develop! For those of you who don't know that which I speak of...Joe Penny (who played Jake on "Jake and the Fatman" back in the day) was recently brought in as the father of a character that kidnapped a group of the core characters. He was a mobster...with a host of thugs and hitmen on his payroll...he was amazing (a bit chubbier than 20-some years ago, but who isn't?), and I could totally see it with him becoming a better bad guy than the resurrected, mind-erased John Black DiMera...but I digress.

Ang, I think he was only in 2 weeks worth of episodes, and then they KILLED HIM on Thursday of last week...of course his empire remains, and I'm sure we haven't seen the last of the repurcussions of the actions of the Vitali's on the show, but I am so disappointed that they killed him off already. Besides, he obviously didn't kill the shrink, the informant, and did not have a contract out on Patch. It was totally Cousin Angelo...

Alright, alright...I really do need a hobby that involves more of my brain than knitting and cross stitch...perhaps I should take up Sudoku again...or word searches or crosswords...anything that makes me not sit down and turn on the tube while I work on my hobby...maybe sculpting, or pottery?!?!?!

I remember watching Joe Penny on Riptide..

I think they may develop Cousin Angelo a bit more..Something shady going there.

I'm not happy with Sammi and EJ either..Puleeeze...Get her back with Lucas...I'd like to see her charachter turn for the good.

And I do not like the new John Black..

I research my family history while watching it..or peruse the blogs I need to dig out my cross stitch again..
